Just Keep Swimming

The "Mom Diet" continues, but maybe I could be more restrictive? I'm definitely not doing a lot of stuff with Rye that I would normally do. I miss smushing her face and exchanging kisses though. Feels so against what I wanted a pet for, but still necessary for her development.

Yesterday I was supposed to take her for long leash work, but it was so difficult to do her normal training, I just didn't have it in me. She was whining so much, we even did the sit-on-the-dog before we could even leave the house. She was whining with each breath, even when laying on her side. I was watching her abs squeeze to whine after each inhale.

Today was a bit better. Some barking and excitedly leaving place, but not whining. We had a good time at another retention pond.

I don't feel like her attention toward me has changed much, so I probably do need to be more restrictive.

Weather is better, but still sunny and very dry. Dust and pollen are killing me. Rye is very dirty from rolling around.

For the past few days I've been added fiber to Rye's meals to help with her loose stool, which seems to really be helping. Rye gets canned sweet potatoes, green beans, and pumpkin. Seems like she's already enjoying a Thanksgiving meal! Hopefully I've reduced her kibble accordingly.

Stats for nerds.
